SST Energy Corporation Safety Office is fully staffed with two full-time Safety Supervisors and a part-time Assistant Safety Supervisor.

SST Energy Corporation’s emphasizes safety through engineering design and behavior-based training. New Hire orientation consists of a class known as Roughneck 101.

Along with the Roughneck 101, on-going and annual training sessions are held throughout the Rocky Mountain States which include CPR/First Aid Training and OSHA Basic Safety Awareness training.  The OSHA Basic Safety Awareness training encompasses practical safety topics such as Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection, Lockout/Tagout Procedures and Hazard Communication, and mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for all crews while working for SST Energy Corporation. By offering this type of comprehensive training to our employees, contractors can be assured SST Energy Corporation rigs will be staffed with experienced, safe, and well-trained crews.


SST Energy Corporation Substance Abuse Program (SAP) complies with Federal guidelines. All potential new employees undergo pre-employment (post-offer) drug screening and are subject to random, post-accident and reasonable cause actions.


SST Energy Corporation is an active participant in IADC’s Accident Statistics Program (ASP), the Petroleum Education Counsel (PEC) as well as the ISNetworld (ISN).
